win a costume contest

I went to my ex-boyfriends Lebowski-themed show the other night and i won the costume contest!!!

well, actually i am the only one that dressed up so it was pretty easy.

I went as Uli the head Nihlist.

My senior year of high school I won the “Most Creative Costume” award. I was a driver’s license. My dad blew up my license at Kinko’s and I cut out the space where my picture was and stuck my head in it. It was so fun!

I have participated in 2 costume contests so far. Well, a friend has a yearly Halloween party, around 50 guests, that includes a costume contest. The first year (2005) I went as Kakihara from the movie “Ichi the Killer”. Last year (2006) I went at Go-Go Yubari from “Kill Bill”.
I like doing completely home made costumes and being unique, but given that I have been dressing as rather obscure movie characters, it is hard to win a contest when people don’t know who you are dressed as.

I am now beginning to plan what to do this year. I still want something unique and hand made, but also something recognizable to the average person. I’ll have to think on this.

Now I need to win another.

Last night I won the best female costume prize with my female fetish version of Alex from A Clockwork Orange. I was pretty stoked.

i won one years ago, as a scarecrow. i was only twelve and the judges were mixed about me winning as the posh kids on the caravan site (my childhood holiday away) we didn’t have much, so the costumes were made of old clothe and straw, so it caused alot of problems.. but i did win a bag of cookies.. ;0 so sadly not much more .. but for me, i’d finally won something

I am getting a custom made metal costume made for me. I’m recreating the 80s character She-Ra with proper materials (white leather and brass). I can’t make things out of metal, unfortunately, but the rest of it I’m piecing together. I think I stand a fair chance of winning something!
