but Facebook is proving to be an AMAZING resource for all this. I have plans in the works for regular visits with friends new and old!

Dont care what anyone says about university…it just seems to take your social life and swallow it chunk by chunk till your eventually left with nothing..just wish the day would expand somewhat so i could have more time to do the things i wanna do rather than the things i need to do

January 31 - February 1 5 months ago

I feel like this weekend I worked toward accomplishing this goal – spending time with good “old” friends, Josh and Debra, and newer friends at Susannah’s for the Superbowl. Baby steps.

Perhaps its not that I don’t spend enough time with friends, but that I have trouble staying connected to/spending time with old friends. May revise goal.
Facebook is a big help lately!

everyone is always so busy 5 months ago

i love my friends to death. i wish that i was able to spend more time with them. everyone has a whole mess of stuff going on, so it’s always hard to find a date where everyone can just hang out. while im at ucla, everyone has crazy classes, club meetings, etc., so even though we’re all RIGHT here, i wish that i could spend more time with them.

oh my, dont even get me started with my BFFFFFFFs back at home. for one, i hardly ever go home, so when i come home i want to see EVERYONE. this includes family too. and esp since i hardly go home, the fam wants to spend time with me too. so family comes in the way a lot too (i love spending tiem with them too OF COURSE!). and being at home, i have strict curfews and stuff. at school, staying out til mdnight is OKAY, but not at home. i wish it were, but hey, cnat really change the minds of crazy parents.

i love spending time with friends, even if it’s while doing NOTHING. it’s just really nice to be around great people.

friends are everything. when i have a date, i never hang out with my friends again and last night i’ve broke up with my boyfriend. i realize love for boyfriend and friends are different. friends are stick together. now i can spend more time with my friends and stop thinking about my boyfriend who’s hurt me so much last night. my boy said that he didn’t love me anymore. he left me….. so easily! i believe the karma is running. good bye my boy, welcome back my all friends !!!!

So, I don’t usually spend much time with my friends… I’m losing friends like mad due to that, and I’d really like to spend more time with my friends…

Does phone time count??? 9 months ago

I haven’t had much time this week to hang out with my friends but I have made time to talk to them on the phone about once every other day. One of my goals is to also cut down on the cell phone minutes which I’m pretty sure might kill me next month when I get the bill soooo I’m not sure if this is good or bad. I’ve also been using my text features more to keep in touch throughout the day with people or send funny jokes. It’s not exactly girls night out but I like to make people smile and it makes me feel good.

This is something that, at one point, I had almost given up entirely on. I was really missing out too. I had forgotten all of the diversity that my friends brought into my life. They are all so different, different styles and opinions, tastes, everything and I learn so much just by being around them. Plus, I have some truly amazing people in my life that I can call “friend”. I’ve devoted two evenings a week, just for an hour or two, to talking with friends and planning trips or outings or sometimes just catching up. It’s been so good for my soul and emotionally brings me a lot of happiness. I realized that shelving my friends and closeting myself was a compromise that I would never again make on any behalf.
