swim with penguins

I’ve gone paddling with penguins at Boulders Beach in South Africa. Fantastic. At this beach, the people and penguins just mingle. If you get a chance to go, take it!

I love penguins sooooo much.. its been a dream of mine since i was little to actually swim with them.. :D

I didn’t get to swim with any, but I met one named Rufus. My cousin works at the zoo and they just got some in from Texas. They’re living in a cage until their home is built and only Rufus was friendly for now – the rest need to be trained. I petted him and touched his wing while he waddled around us. It was pretty cool.

Okay, I was in the Galapagos Islands this summer, so we got to go snorkeling with galapagos penguins. They are really small and adorable. You’ll be swimming in the water and one will just rocket past your nose like a little black and white torpedo. There was one that kept swimming around chasing around an entire school of fish. Definitely worth doing and a great story to tell people.

I soooooooo wanna go to Antarctica!!!
