Reassure my girls it will be ok

but we’ve all survived the last few weeks; just taking day by day at the moment.

At least it is almost summer break here and we can have a bit of relaxation time soon!

We’re all going through some rough times here at home, and dealing with them yourself is one thing, but helping others cope is often hardest, especially when they are children.

I am going to be away all of next week at a work conference and my daughters are beginning to stress already over this. They don’t want me to go, they don’t want me to be away for so long and they don’t want to be pushed from pillar to post all week between friends and family.

I’m trying my best to reassure them that everything will work out for the best, and that I will be back and that they should just try to make the best of the situation and maybe they’ll even enjoy it.
