learn how to do my taxes

My mom is an accountant, but she insists that I learn to do this myself and I’m actually really happy that I can. I use TurboTax to do my taxes every year, and I enjoy being self-sufficient and knowing where my money has gone. The IRS is actually very helpful if you want to do them yourself and have a question or two.

this year my mom got a cpa who did my taxes too for free. so i don’t get to learn something new, but i do get a refund!

(though i know that is supposed to be bad b/c i could have been earning interest on that money…but i would have had to know what exemptions i could claim and such to not have taxes withheld in the first place, and i didn’t know…)
