be a standup comedian

It’s always been one of my dreams just to try it. I’ve always idolized Jim Carrey and Adam Sandler, and looking back on their Stand Up days makes me want to do it all the more.

we answer 100 questions and at the end it tells you what job you should do. i got comedian. im a performer. i love drama and i got rave reviews in my last years school production. i love crowds. i think i could kick ass..

I want to try it at least once! Never done it before, but have alot of experience performing other things. I know how to get a laugh, but standup is SO much different, because I wont have a script to lean on. I’m scared, but I want to try it so bad!

Unlike some people on here who have done clips or maybe little stints of standup I have done NOTHING at all like that..

The only experience I have is writing down material and talking to people who think I’m joking when I’m being serious.

The kind of “comedy” I do is like.. The truth. Satyrical and such… Maybe too honest , maybe a bit twisted and sick.. But I like that.

one day i want to perform at the Laugh Factory in Hollywood! once i get enough material i’m going to go down there and try out for open mic!

Well, i believe there r tons of misconception abt being a stand up comic. People thought a stand up is someone who tell jokes… well ya grand pa will tell jokes.. why cant he be a stand up? i believe a stand up comic is someone who tell the world how he thinks abt the world and viewing things in a different perspective !!! plus i beleive 90 % of the stand up comic out there deep down r folks who had socical phebia , depression and had a fuck up mind set ! coz honestly its these people who can really tell u sth so deep yet sososososososo funny not what ya grand pa told u in the dinner table.. once upon a time there is a guy name bob …. !!!!! dude,.. thats old school …

I want to get up on stage in front of randoming strangers and just talk about how much they suck at life and then laugh at them for paying me money to make fun of them. No wait. What does a comedian do again? I like money.

i’ve performed stand up a few times now, but i want to BE a stand-up comedian.. not just someone that’s tried it. i get the feeling takes a lot of patience and dedication tho.. but worth it.
