i have membership since 2007 and i never use it.
Im really gonna do some thing about this lazy.
I used to be in great shape and now not so much so i got a gym membership, and i was really good about going, but school and work get in the way… so it is time for me to actually use it, even if it is only twice a week…
I honestly don’t have a practical way to get to the gym on a regular basis right now, but as soon as I can drive again, I’d like to start going 2-3 times per week. I keep thinking about how awesome I’ll feel afterward, and it just makes me really excited to go :)
both a financial and practical decision. Since I got pregnant I was really too tired after work to go to the gym and now I am getting bigger and lugging this baby around, there is not a whole lot that I am able to do at the gym. I try to walk most evenings and want to do a little bit of swimming too instead of the gym.
Have had the gym membership for several months, only go occasionally. This year I want to go on a regular basis.
Today is the 13th, and I’ve only been to the gym once. If I go every single day (excepting Christmas) I can still get my 16 visits in. Is that going to happen? Not likely.
It’s too late to cancel my membership for this month, so I’m giving myself one more chance. If I work out 16 times between now and January 10th, I’ll keep the membership. Otherwise, I’ll call on the 10th and cancel it.
I’m not sure why I’m so reluctant to cancel this membership when I’m not using it. I guess it’s because I feel that cancelling it means I’ll give up and sink into sloth and gluttony without hope of redemption.
I guess I’d better get my butt in gear, in that case, and start exercising.
So, I haven’t worked out at the gym once this week. I keep telling myself that I like having this gym membership, but money is tight, and if I’m not using it … it’ll be cancelled. My goal, restated here for my own benefit, is to use the gym 16 times by the end of the month.
I’ve been paying $49 a month for a gym membership that I use maybe four times a month … if that. My goal is this: use it at least four times a week every month, or cancel it. I’ve got a decent set of weights and a weight bench at home that I can use (or not use), but I found out that I didn’t like working out at home that much. Apparently I don’t like working out at the gym all the much either.
But, I need to exercise, and since my financial situation right now is very tight, I can’t afford to spend $49 a month on something I’m not even using. So, December is it. Use the gym at least 16 times in December, or cancel the membership.
