do more scrapbooking

I’m almost caught up on all the events that have happened recently. We had a few big things that were scrap-worthy happen all at once. First was our anniversary, then Terri’s birthday, and next we had a weekend vacation with friends. I’m finished with the anniversary and Terri’s birthday and hope to start on the friends weekend today or next week. I also want to scrap our two birdie families. So lots to do!

Finally finished the beer dinner layout so I’m all caught up.

I’ve added our hiking trip with the boy last weekend to our 2009 book. It turned out really great. I’m really enjoying the new software. I’ve also found a few more freebies sites with some great elements and papers on them. I’ve really kept on this book and I totally kicking this goals butt this year!

I started a book for Rascal. I have a ton of pictures of him and hope to get a book finished for him this year. Attached is our recent trip to the beach, Rascal’s first.

I’m all caught up on our 2009 book so that’s great. I’ve decided to be picky about what goes in that book so it doesn’t turn out to be huge. I also got the DVD-ROM installed on my home computer so I’m hoping to install the scrapbooking software I got for xmas on my home computer. That will hopefully allow me to work on some other books I’ve been wanting to accomplish.

I started my annual 2009 scrapbook this week using my new software. I got the new years eve pictures up and am working on my birthday weekend pictures. I’d really like to have the birthday weekend layouts finished by this weekend. We’ll see if that happens

I started scrapbooking about 7 years ago. I love making my pictures even more special by scrapbooking and I love the creative outlet it gives me. I love looking through albums and reliving those moments.

My problem was that I just didn’t have the time or space to create scrapbooks anymore so I stopped for a few years. Six months ago I started looking into digital scrapbooking and I LOVE it!

At first I just pulled free stuff off line but for Christmas this year, Terri bought me scrapbooking software which will take my designs to a new level and make it faster and easier to create pages.

The first year Terri and I were together. I made a First Year book. I’d like to continue that and start back with this year. So that’s my goal. I’ll take special moments, events, etc throughout the year and create one or two pages for the annual book. I’m also hoping to start a book for a nephew this year. And if I get really ambitious I’ll try to work my way back through the four years of annual albums I missed.

Above is a page from the Disney album I just finished. I’m still researching the cheapest and best way to print these out.

now that I’m not working, I should have more time to work on scrapbooking. I got 2 pages for each of my 3 children done today! yeah! (our Sea World/Legoland trip from March)

Finished fixing up another page this morning. I’m on a role!
