Am scheduled to attend a writing workshop on 18th October. Thought I could skip this, but didn’t think it’d be fair to my writing buddy. He recommended it highly, and even offered to accompany me. Heck.. sounds like I got nothing to lose, except a precious Sunday. :)

..it’s about finding love where you would least expect to. Shah said it has the makings of a telemovie. I just want to get the book out first. Though movie deals are always the next big dream. :)

I have always wanted to become a writer, but I have always been afraid of failure or even worse…I always thought that writing is just for a few people. Now I want to take it seriously and write my first novel.

I’ve been working on this for three years (since about seventh grade). But now, I really want to get serious about it. My creative writing teacher that I had last year really made me realize that this is what I want to do with my life and that I want to be serious about it. I began my novel in her class and have since taken a break from it because she’s not really here to push me to do it anymore. I talk to and see her frequently, but it’s just not enough. I need to learn to push myself and not rely on someone else to do everything for me. I love to bounce ideas off of her and have her read my work, but it’s time for me to step it up.

I have always wanted to write a full-length novel. I’ve taken two creative writing classes last year and wrote short stories and poems as a class requirement. Although my self-esteem suffered a few bruises, I learned a lot from the class. And I actually was able to write something! The stories I wrote were not the best, but they were not bad for a first try. :)

To help me with this goal, I read a lot of novels, short stories, and poems. It isn’t hard to put into my schedule because I’m a literature student. Perhaps, the only thing left for me to do is to gather up my confidence so I can actually pen my first line!

ok I love writing! 12 months ago

I love writing but there are so many other things to do in my life! I miss curling up in my bed and writing for hours and hours like i used to! By the end of this year I do hope to finnish my rough draft for my book. It’s called Road Trip: A New Begining. I really hope to have more time to pursue my passion for writing.

I have always read. I love films. I love the theatre. I love words. I write all the time. Whether it’s a sentence or a paragraph, doesn’t matter. Sometimes an image will just to me and I have to write it down. It can be completely random or sometimes it can connect to how I feel at the time. I want to try and put these into a longer work. The problem is that I don’t have the confidence to do it. As soon as I read a book I lose the hope I thought I had. By the end of the year I hope to have improved my confidence, and hopefully have a rough draft planned out on paper.

I still have many ideas floating around my head for a book, but still haven’t managed to find the time to get any words down – studying and most importantly, being a Mummy, makes my life very, very busy!

I have been writing stories since I was a kid, I love stories. I love to watch them, read them, write them. And now I want to push myself a bit further, and write a novel by this time next year. I must be mad, this will be on top of being a single mum, and studying for my degree…. mmmm…. it will be tough but I need reminders to write, otherwise other (boring) stuff gets in the way (housework YAWN).
