How I did it: While watching the burn on the internet in 2007 I decided I would be there in 2008... I then made it happen. Now working on 2009. I already have my ticket & time off booked. Read how I did it…
How I did it: I wasn't a big "festival" fan- so it took a few years for me to agree to go. So I went, again, and again, and again. And I will go again. How? Just buy a ticket. Pack bike, chapstick, toothbrush, water, a warm fuzzy coat, tarp for shade. Then Go. No need for some elaborate camp - although that's nice. If you didn't do it perfectly the first year, you'll have it all figured out for next year. Read how I did it…

To be honest I have never heard of this festival. I came across it browzing the site. I spent few minutes on google checking out fotos of this event and reading information about the even on the actual site. I feel excited about attending this. Maybe not in 2009, becuase I have other trips planned this year, but what a way to kick of my 40th birthday next year.
Perusing through someone else’s goals, I came a across this one. And seriously?! I didn’t even know this actually existed!
Now that I know, I’m adding it to my list for certain. It would be a bit of a hike for me to get there, but I want to travel somewhere, ANYWHERE, in the next two years, and I think this would certainly be worth while.
I’ve been to Playa del Fuego, the regional East Coast burn, and that was an amazing experience. Burning Man is on my list. Maybe within the next few years…
I love the whole ethos of the festival. It emulates life itself. The community is built on the spot, it thrives for a brief time and there is much creativity and adventure, and then it ultimately succumbs to the flames of entropy in the end, returning to the universal ash.
I think this would be an interesting experience. Not something you do everyday.
The logistics didn’t work out for this year …but now that I have it in mind 2009 should work out.
I kept looking at it on my schedule and it makes me more determined to do it next year…
mecando is fabulous
and its taking up valuable space.
i’ll take it up next year.
it is so much more than a festival.. it is like, human potentiality realized! so amazing, and so eye opening, and such a spectrum of experiences and possibilities.
