Where have I been for 3 weeks? Passing exams and fighting dragons (that breath fire). I have passed all of the exams (thank you, thank you), and will now be continuing with this awesome goal. Cathibeth and SueWhatever’s portraits are almost done (just need backgrounds), so heads up. I can’t notify everyone when this will be done, however, I will be going around to the specific people’s portraits I’m doing, and informing them of completage.
Oh, yeah. 7 years ago
I thought some of you might be interested in which order you are being drawn (and coincidentally, which page you are on in the sketchbook), so here you go:
Bolded? (not THIS again!) – That means you are almost done.
Italics? – It means your portrait has been started.
Bolded and in italics? – Done. You can either check here every few days to see the progress of your picture(I’m predicting it will take about a week (or less) per portrait), or you can do nothing, and wait until I send you the link. Either way, it will be fun to see how people react to their portraits, and hear constructive criticism from all those around.
Monkeys like bananas! – Yes, yes they do!
Don’t forget to bug me every now and then to ensure that I complete this goal. 7 years ago
Bolded? – That means I have a good picture of you and will get to work on your portrait soon.
Bolded and in italics? – That means your portrait is currently being drawn.
===Surrounded by these things?=== – That means your portrait is done (it will also link to the entry with your portrait)!
8====D Has two penises pointing at it? Q====8 – Uh…it means absolutely nothing. I swear.
Nothing around your name? – That means I don’t have a good picture of you yet. I either can’t find one where I can decently see you (you’d be amazed how many of these there are pictures of people hiding under coffee tables), or you just haven’t sent me a picture yet (you may send it to my spam-infested, 10-year-old account g1Rl@hotmail.com
[Boohoo! I wanted to be drawn] – Oh yeah? Then maybe you should have gotten your hand out the mustard jar long enough to actually sign up. Well, actually there is still a ‘secondary’ list, so if there are people in the current list who forget to send me their pictures (or people I can’t reach because they’ve actually found a life and left the internet), people from the secondary list will take their place. It’s a harsh world. Remember: it’s the people who are not bolded that you might be replacing. EDIT It’s now been suggested that I should start a new sketchbook, and draw a total of 48 people instead (or 43, for it would make more sense). Therefore, I’m still taking volunteers, though I can’t promise the second-generation list will be done as quickly as the above.
Why are there full stops on either side of everyone’s names? – That is irrelevant. But my only hint will be that it is also genius. 7 years ago
Why 24? Because that is how many pages my sketchbook has.
I want to fill it with portraits of people from 43things. Want me to draw you? Please respond, and send me a picture of yourself (preferably high-resolution). 7 years ago
