I’ve just turned 18, and so are all my friends, so we are at the clubbing age… And now all they want to do, all the time, is go out dancing! But I can’t dance, unless I’m wasted, which almost never happens. It’s a self confidence thing, I know… I need to stop caring what people think and just go out!

How I did it: I took the recreational course of ballroom dancing offered by UNSW Lifestyle Center. It was great fun! It costs me $80 dollar for 10 lessons of an hour/week. The teachers were very helpful and relaxed at the same time, they knew we were there simply to have good time. Read how I did it…

How I did it: I said it took a week. In a way that's true. In fact, it's possible to learn a new dance in an hour! But in another way, it's been a lifetime of dancing, first learning to waltz and polka dancing on my dad's feet! My sweetheart and I attend dances regularly. Every Memorial Day, we attend Wheatland's Traditional Arts workshop where they have dance lessons in swing, cajun, irish, step, tango, latin, contra, squ… Read how I did it…

How I did it: Dancing is about letting yourself go. Initially it's also about letting yourself be "there" in the center of things, falling, tripping and laughing as you try to get the steps.Take along a friend, I took my sister, so that we could laugh at me and for support because I'm an extremely self conscious person!Don't think about it too much, just do it! How I did it: i started taking dance classes when i was like 5. i took ballet, tap, and then joined the drill team (hip hop/step dance team) when i was in high school. ive also done yoga off and on for the past 6 years which i believe greatly helped me with my balance, flexibility, and coordination. i love to dance soooo much- i dance anywhere and everywhere and any chance i get! my favorite style of dance is hip hop but i can also do pretty much every… Read how I did it…
How I did it: When I was staying in Texas, I was sitting on the deck of the beach house and I had told my friend Jamie that I couldnt dance. Then she got up, put on some music and proceeded to teach me. We danced all night under those stars!! I'll never forget that night. I'm also happy to say I can now dance. lol. Read how I did it…

I love this show! My husband won’t dance or take lessons with me. I just want to be able to dance so that I’m not embarrassed when I get to dance at weddings.

i am getting better :) haha dont know if it’s cause i just get out there and have a good time (i like to think of it as dance therapy) or because the girls at my second job love to blare the music and we all break it down together (they are all ex-cheerleaders and have some really good moves. i’m trying to take notes lol). I’m more comfortable with just moving but i actually do want to learn how to dance. i took a bellydancing class which was great but i want more. everytime i listen to michael buble it’s makes me want to learn how to ballroom dance or swing dance or something. but first i gotta find a guy that will do it too. this is gonna be hard.
I want to learn how to ballroom dance! To swing, to jive, to do salsa…
I want to take a class, or go to a place that offers free lessons…
Turns out it didn’t require much learning, just a really cool friend to get me to feel comfortable by dragging me to a party : ) Nothing fancy, just fun.
I’m more or less a confident person, I can speak perfectly fine in front of an auditorium… But my coordination sucks.. I would like to be a good dancer, to boost my coordination skills and be more confident!!
