I wish to go to Tibet, to see the old palaces of Tibet, experience what it is like to live in China, and go on a spiritual tour to become more intune with my life.

I should say I’ll take it with me. Or I’d try. But if that doesn’t work out, I’m sure I’ll find it there and take it with me thereon.

trip to China didn't turn out as planned

So… the main reason for my going to China was to fulfill another lifelong ambition: To go to Tibet. And guess what happened? A whole load kicked off and it was then closed to foreigners. I was in China 3.5 months and still no-go. Instead there was an earthquake and various other questionable things.

I’m planning to go to Tibet next summer. I try to save enough money and decided not to talk about it to the people I know. It’s hard to fulfill it if you talk about it too much which has been proved a lot in my former experience.

I don’t get to go this time. I am really bummed because it was the main purpose in taking this particular trip. But I got really sick in Dali and couldn’t get up for a couple days, and by then it was too late. We will have a couple extra days in Chengdu, which is cool, but will have to save Tibet for another time. I guess that means I can do Xinjiang at the same time, which is cool.
Sigh.
