ive never really had the time or money but golf has always something ive heard nothing but good things about. Its a big time commitment but in the experience ive had with golf its quite relaxing and no too taxing on the body
Since my original entry I’m really happy to say I finally completed this goal. I played for free and learned from my friends this past spring. I had a lot of time last May to practice and ultimately got to the point of being proficient enough to beat some of my friends at school. I bought a student golf membership this summer and golfed pretty regularly. I’m glad to finally check this off the list as something I worked hard at and ultimately achieved much sooner than I had anticipated. 15 months ago

How I did it: For 24 years, the extent of my golf experience was a one day excursion to a mini-golf course at the age of 5. As I began to notice the unfortunate popularity of golf at work and within my own social circle, I decided it would probably be a good skill to learn. I registered for 6 classes at a city-owned golf course for beginners. Out of the entire class, I was the only one who had never played a game of golf or been to a driving range before. Fortunately for me, the first class focused only on how to hold the golf club properly - we didn't even hit any balls. From there, each class we learned a new skill... and by the last class, I actually managed to hit some balls straight AND [somewhat] far. The best part of the experience was finding out that I actually enjoyed golfing and would even consider it a very stress-relieving activity. Now, I am far from "good" - but I've actually gone to the driving a few times on my own following the lessons and can see minor yet incremental improvement. Read how I did it… 5 months ago
