BambooSpirit is trying to find at least 43 things I WANT to do in my life!

    Just 10 1 week ago

Because I don’t know how long this will take me. Last year I ended up using store bought cards.

If I do 10 cards myself this year I can give them to family and close friends and special people—

I need to start now because I would like to do at least 10 embroidered/cross-stitch cards for my nearest and dearest. I had intended to do this last year but only got up to 4 cards, quite pathetic.

2005 Sets a Record in the Christmas Department 3 years ago

In line with my goal of making Christmas cards this year, I succeeded. 5 different photos of my labrador Lucy were used as limited edition Christmas cards this year to distribute to some of my close friends and family.

Though it’s not yet Christmas day, several of the family received theirs early as they wouldn’t be able to join us in our Christmas day celebration. So huddled around a plastic christmas tree, its branches draped with colourful crystal fairly lights and silver balls; the presents were distributed and faces glowed as they unwrapped the colourful packages.

Cards are generally passed over with no more than a casual glance, however these cards attracted just as much attention as the presents themselves for they did not come from the $2.95 bulk discount pack at Big W. Amazing isn’t it how such a small gesture can make the world of difference.

    Definately a worthwhile goal!

I bought cards, embellishments and have just selected the few photos to be printed this afternoon. If all goes to plan, I will have 10 Christmas cards coming up by the end of the day

The Yearly Saga... 3 years ago

Too many things, not enough time! Christmas time is always on the cutting-edge of insanity: the deadlines, the Christmas Shopping rush and the pressure of adding ‘Christmas Spirit’ into our daily hectic lives.

For many years I have been planning to make Christmas cards for some of my closest family and friends. I have always appreciated people who have taken the time and effort to personalise a card yet for me, the raptures of daily life seem to leave little time to contribute to such an effort.

This year, by December 20th, I hope to send at least 10 homemade cards to my closest friends as a small show of my appreciation and gratitude for their contribution to my life.

At this rate, it will have to be for next year!
