"Shooting a gun was terrifying and exhilarating at the same time!"
How I did it: I went to the gun range with my husband and my ex-military in-laws. I could feel my legs shaking as I walked toward the door. Inside were all types of guns, midnight black guns, shiny guns, big badass guns, and tiny baby purse guns. While I marvelled at the gun selection, my brother-in-law said "We're here to shot, let's get her the 22!". We picked out guns, ammo, targets, and eye and ear protectors. Walking toward the shooting area with my heart pounding, hands sweating, and legs shaking I thought, "I hope no one goes crazy and shots me!" I was terrified. My husband encouraged me saying "Don't worry, it'll be alright, you can do it". There was one other guy in the shooting area firing off rounds and despite the No Rapid Fire rule, he seemed to be letting off rounds like a World One movie... or maybe it just seemed that way to me. My sister-in-law and husband hung the targets, my brother-in-law loaded the guns, I wanted to jet up out of there! My sister-in-law handed me the gun, showed me how to plant my feet, place my hands, and squeeze the trigger. She said "You ready?" and stepped away. I squeezed the trigger. BANG! I was hadn't realize the gun would be so powerful. BANG! BANG! BANG! "Keep your eyes open!". I opened my eyes and BANG! BANG! BANG! I felt exhilarated! BANG! BANG! BANG! The gun was empty, I laid it down and step away with a huge smile. "I did it! I did it!" And I did it good! My target was shot in the arm, chest, head!!!
