learn to shoot a gun

I went to Canada for a family reunion and discovered my cousins shoot skeet (little clay disks) for fun. I went with some of them and they taught me how to shoot. I didn’t hit any but it was great anyways.

I also want to learn how to dismantle a gun and put it back together with ease.

why? because I just like to know how to do things. haha.

i head this is a really good stress reliever…and ive always wanted to try..so maybe ill go and learn soon

My now husband took me to go shooting right when we met. I had a crazy ex who was threatening us so he wanted me to know how to protect myself. He also bribed me w/shopping money which always works for me. I got so many dollars for how close to the target I was. He regretted that when we found out I had a really good shot. :)

i just think everyone should shoot a gun once in there life and i haven’t, so…

When you learn to shoot a gun make sure you get ear plugs and wear them. I learned the hard way. Also remember to get a gun that isn’t going to throw you backwards across the field…i had to learn that the hard way too. lol

Don’t know why this is so compelling to me, but I’ve wanted to try this for a very long time. (I blame Hollywood)

My dad tried to teach me to shoot when I was a kid, but I would like to learn how to aim well and not be so jumpy on a shooting range (my dad calls it “the yips”). :)

Plus it’s something he’s really into, and we could do it together when I go home to visit my folks.

this week was range week and though it left me sore damn near everywhere it was awesome!
i love the smell of gunpowder now and was so happy that i got to play with three different weapons systems this week.

Wednesday was 249 training and i got put on ammo detail so i got to handle rounds all dayand shoot off the excess at the end of the day.

Thursday the entire company qualified on the M16s and i did way better than i ever have before; i qualified with Sharpshooter!

Friday was the M2 range. I qualified on the Ma Duece during my practice round and then i shot off an extra box of ammo into a tank and blew the door off.
that was fun!
i came home covered in mud and gun powder. i loved it.

I met Joseph friday night. He said he can organize a shooting event by July for our group. And its not just at a simple shooting range! He said we will be running towards our target! How’s that for my first time?! So cool! Can’t wait. :D
