I saw a photo of myself the other day, and while my body and fashion sense was looking awesome, my eyes were droopy and there were large bags under my eyes. I looked pretty awful actually.
Most of the time I’m not getting enough sleep because I’m procrastinating, which is quite stupid.
I need to change, I want to change, I would to look after myself the best way I can and that means getting at least 8 hours sleep in a 24 hour period. I read somewhere it takes a 30-40 days to make a habit. So when I get back to college I aim to have 40 straight days of getting 8 hours sleep. If I can’t get 8 hours, I can make up by having a nap in the day. If I screw up for no reason then I start again.

as I’m writing this at 11:55pm, its not the best of starts. So I’m going to start this tomorrow. I’m fed up of feeling so drained halfway through the day due to my lack of sleep.
Night:
15/02/09 – 7 hours
16/02/09 – 8 hours
17/02/09 – Not sure, probably 7 hours.
18/02/09 – Not sure, probably 7 hours.
19/02/09 – 6 hours.
20/02/09 – 7 hours.
21/02/09 – 7-8 hours. Note: I may be getting the hours in, but still going bed late so I still lack energy.

I suck at this because I normally stay up until 1 in the morning talking or watching TV. To not be late to school I’d have to wake up at 5:30 am. That means I’d have to go to sleep at least at 10:30. That’s hard to do. But I’m gonna try.

I am writing this at 4 am. Obviously, this is not a good start to the 8 hours of sleep a night I am striving for, but you have to start somewhere. Admitting I have a problem is a good step. Wishing I was an early bird rather than a night owl, especially with an early class tomorrow.

if i am or not, i try so hard, but i wake up soooo many times throughout the night and each time it takes me FOREVER to fall back asleep even though i am ALWAYS extremely tired. so with all the falling asleep and waking back up, i dont kno how long my overall number is….i think i’m gonna try to go to bed around 9/9:30 and see how that works out…
