I rode an elephant at the circus once but it’s not the same as doing it somewhere exotic.
How I did it: I went to the Renaissance Faire with my family and they have elephants to ride. My uncle bought a ride for my cousins and I. I loved it. I would definitely do it again. Read how I did it…

How I did it: I went to the circus when I was about ten or so with my mom, her friend, and her friend's daughter (my friend)....apparently lots of friends lol. Anyway, they were giving camel and elephant rides for a small price, so my friend and I rode one together :) It was really cool but being ten years old on an elephant makes you a little bit nervous. How I did it: went for jungle safari a month back, it isnt that fun like it looks like it does, it's nice thing to experience thing like this, but i dont think i will ever ride on an elephant again in my life, just stop torturing animallllssss lol. once is enough for me :) Read how I did it…
How I did it: I took a trip to India, and let my family who I was visiting that this was something I wanted to do. So we researched the options. There were other places where you could ride an elephant around in a circle or something. But we rode the elephants at the Amber Fort in Jaipur. Instead of walking up the path or taking a taxi, there was the elephant option. I'm sure it wasn't the most 'authentic' elephant ride, a… Read how I did it…

How I did it: I went once by myself in Ayutthaya, Thailand... but it felt like a cruel and horrible experience. Then I realized maybe I didn't really understand how to train elephants and what appeared to me as cruel and horrible was actually not so.So I went again 2 years later when I went to Chiang Mai, Thailand. This time I went with a friend and even though it was still uncomfortable, it was actually kind of fun. I would do it again if given the chance. Read how I did it…

Will most likely have to find a circus to go to, not many elephants in the wild in Florida.

I adore elephants and I would love to get to interact with one properly. Riding an elephant would be really exhilarating for me, I hope to get a chance to do this someday. But since I don’t think I’ll get that chance anytime soon, I’ll put this goal on hold.
But I will do this one day! You can count on that. :)
I’m going to India in less than two weeks…and i’m hoping i’ll find an elephant there to ride.
Aw I really have to ride an elephant sometime… but it has to be in a country like affrica or something, so you can get the full experience. I think it would be pretty scary but worth every moment!
I’ve ridden elephants 4 times. Twice in the Golden Triangle in North Thailand, twice on the Thai island of Koh Samui. We rode through jungles, over streams, up and down hills. Got to feed them bananas by hand after. Good fun.
It was excellent and I did enjoy it BUT the care of the elephants was questionable. Would recommend others to do it if you are sure the elephants are taken care of.
Next time I would like to be mahout and sit behind the ears!
