throw a surprise party for someone

The first one I threw was a karaoke birthday surprise – I collaborated with a friend of mine and it was good. She was definitely surprised that more people showed up :) than expected and we had cake and extra food and stuff – so that was really cool. We also got balloons and decorations wheeee.

The second one wasn’t too great because that friend is very intuitive and observant so she suspected. But she seemed to like it a lot. I had it at my place and I had decorations and balloons that we blew up ourselves. I bought mochi ice cream instead of cake and then with frosting, we spelled out “Congratulations Sarah” :) because it was for her graduation celebration. 4 years ago

I planned, organized and pulled off a 50th birthday surprise party for my stepdad. Even though we arent always close, I knew it would mean something to him, and it really, really did. i was so proud that i could give him something he would always remember, because i grew up feeling like he never thought i was much special. 4 years ago
