do something selfless for the less fortunate for christmas instead of stuffing myself with turkey

im going to have to work on this next year. but im going to start on thanksgiving and continue untill christmas!

Normally the youth at my church have a christmas party every year. The event can get almost prom like. This year we all decided that we wanted to spend the money on throwing a big dinner and inviting all the people who live near the church to just walk on in and have a nice turkey dinner. We also used all money that we didn’t use on the food to buy families turkeys of their own and a bunch of gift cards for toys and more food. Over all everyone felt really good about it, and I was really glad to have been a part of it.

i’d like to mabye start bringing my daughter with me as a yearly thing. she’s only 10 months right now so shes probaly to young to really bring to anything, but this could be our holiday tradition.

I myself have plenty of experience helping out from when i was younger but wouold really appriciate doing something to help out. since my baby has been born i’ve been concerned about working for her, getting stuff for her, protecting, nurtureing her… but the right thing to do now as she devolops is to have her help others.

does this make sense?
