become a film editor

I feel like I have finally found what I was meant to do. I need serious direction and advice.
Any help is appreciated

I’ve begun using Sony Vegas and have greatly enjoyed learning the video editing process at home. I want to start doing this professionally, eventually working on Feature Films.

Can anyone help me with some advice as to how I should begin my new career? I have no formal training and live in Chicago, IL.

I was an editor for Hillsong Church. It was a dream of mine since 2003, and when it came to past I knew with my faith any dream was possible.
I’ve edit many projects that thousands of people have seen. There was nothing like standing there watching what you created on big screens and seeing the reactions of everyone.

I got an internship at a Post house and I am excited to finally get my feet wet and see the business

The Digital Editing class got cancelled for lack of enrollment. I signed up for Sound Design instead, which meets exactly the same time and day and is recommended for anyone in postproduction.

I finally completed all my Film Production I projects and got a B for the class, which means I qualify to take Digital Editing next semester. I’m psyched!

My professional aim once I’m out of film school.
