Yeah, I rock!
Reading Final Cut Pro 5 by Larry Jordan. I know it’s old but it’s the only book the library had, and I’m too poor to afford a recent book. I use FCP at my production company already, so this goal shouldn’t take very long.

You know, at my last freelance job, FCP was really important and I muddled through it nearly every day. At my current job, I don’t really need it and I don’t even have it on my computer. Someday I’d like to learn how it works, but for now this goal goes in the “giving up” pile.
I don’t like to give up, but sometimes I need to…
Today on the way home from work, I bought a book about Final Cut Pro. I’m going to bring it into work and noodle around when I get a chance. It’s a huge 700+ page book, but all the smaller books didn’t have much information on my arch-nemesis—the “Edit to Tape” function.
I’m working three to four days a week at a small video production company using final cut everyday. As well as lots of other video equipment that is needed for the real world of video produciton. I did my first cut the other day and it came out pretty cool if I do say so myself. However not up to par with what I would like to be putting out in the near future. So far well worth it and I’m happy with my move in a career with video production.

My brother and I just got final cut pro and I want to master, maybe over the winter break.
once you get the hang of it, its really not that hard … if you computer/tech savy. if you aren’t then you may have a bit of trouble.
I finally got a membershipt to the Northwest Film Forum today.
