Politics is, was and will always be a passion of mine, but my perspective has changed. After years of planning for this I’m taking my life in another direction, one where I feel I can definitely give back in a way that is as important as and, well, significantly less dirty than working in politics.

I don’t know anyone else my age (I’m 22) who is as obsessed with politics as myself. Last night I posted a blog explaining “the first 100 hours” for my politically uninvolved and uninterested friends. At least some of them read it! SUCH a dork! haha….
the kids in the pic are my baby cousins. We have a Democratic Congresswoman in the family (in pic, Carolyn McCarthy, D-NY), along with a former union lobbyist, a NASA global warming researcher, and several devoted long time campaign volunteers. It’s in the blood. ;-)
Been there, done that, read the book, hated the movie. I mean WORK. I mean a paying, down and dirty, decision-making job where failure means I have nothing and no one to blame but the faulty political and campaign strategies of myself and those working with me.
yakuza who has missed me?
I first went to work for the party in August of 2001. I’m still here! It’s a great job, knowing that what I do directly affects history.
