watercolor

I want to do watercolor and play any hindi / marathi song on keyboard

since i’m an art studant, this month we are trying watercolour. boy, i’ve gotta tell you, this one is a very difficul technic to master.

I draw (with pencils, charchoal), and I paint (with acrylic paints), but I also want to experiment with water colors. The results always look so accurate, so dreamy, so delicate. Should be interesting to try.

I still need further practise but I have done some painting that was recognisable to others so for now I’m happy with that.

I painted the orchid I sketched this morning and surprisingly I was quite happy with it, both my son and my husband knew what it was, so that was a bonus!

I took my watercolours to the riverway today and painted while my husband and the kids were in the pool. I had a child complement me on my picture, but as usual I didn’t think it was very good. That said I can only improve with practise.

I took a watercolour class on the weekend. It was interesting and I learnt new techniques but I think the best thing I can do now is just experiment and find out what I can do with it myself as I was feeling a little restricted by the rules that were expressed. I always felt watercolours were fun and light and this class made me feel that they were neither. Obviously that was just the way I interpreted what was said as many other people who attended obviously enjoyed it. (Perhaps I just don’t like rules when I am being creative!!!)

I started to watercolour. It’s my favourite medium now. I find it easy to blend and really radiant. Definately worth it, but it has to dry before applying anything beside it or else it just mixes together :P But I highly reccomend it.
