Reality Vs. Future Reality 6 months ago

Right now I am sitting in bed, feeling peckish with no snacks to munch on at 12am in the morning, typing this and downloading a vintage episode of One Tree Hill. While I am greatful for my most basic of comforts my improved quality of life would dictate that:

I am sitting here in bed at 12am watching a movie with my loved one, fridge filled with healthy food and indulgent snacks to feast on, a selection of which are layed out in front of us on the bed. Neither of us have work in the morning therefore it’s a play night. Our kittens are curled up with us and add to the sense of warmth and security. We are all wrapped up together and that feeling that there is no work in the morning just adds to the fun as it can be endless if we want it to. We have our own space and dictate what we do within it. Most of all we are safe, warm happy protected and blessed by god.

I am working again and am enjoying for the most part what and the the idea of what I do. It can be a little bit tough going on some days which is why on average I do not have five days off in the week. I intend to do something life changing with my money opposed to messing about with it. Either at the end of summer or maybe in October when I’ve made a bit more money I can really do this.

In order to do this right now I need to establish a basic routine and start applying for part time jobs.

I need to start putting the effort in in order to do this. I need to sign up with some agencies and apply for some jobs by the end of this month.

I also need to start going to bed at a decent hour on weeknights

This really needs to happen this year. I want to change the way I live my life and make mysellf more comfortable and treat myself the way I would like others to treat me. It’s all up to me.

The quality of my life is... 11 months ago

Better than it has been in recent years. It has to be something to do with the end of my long term relationship over five months ago. As much as we were in love we were trapping eachother, cocooned in our own little bleak world. I always used to worry about his personal progress and it was a huge weight on my shoulders. He also put a strain between me and my parents as I did him with his mother. In a way he was a catalyst in me being so bitter towards them. That is not helpful when I live with them. Therefore for a long while my life was hell here.

Now that we’ve spilt I am rebuilding my relationship with them and living here is not hell anymore. In this respect the quality of my life has improved. It still needs alot of work though.

Got the shopping and the laundry done.
Tidied my room a bit although it’s never gonna be spotless right now.

Still need to do the lesson planning and watch the video. Attempted watching it earlier but the DVD crashed. Gonna resume now.

It’s Sunday today and I have quite a few errands to do:

Food Shopping for my new diet

laundry for this working week

Lesson planning

Watch a video that I will be teaching after half term. (this bit is obviously not so bad. It’s entertainment after all)

Tidy my room, which the thouht of is quite depressing :)

I wish I had done some of this beforehand but I passed these errands up yesterday for a lovely dayout which I really enjoyed! Looking at it that way I guess I dont regret it. I’m just feeling anxious because I’m getting the ‘day before syndrome’ where I now I will be back in the classroom teaching again tomorrow.

I really need to stop sweating the small stuff. I’m sure I will be fine. Just feel too lazy to get these things done.

I will update my progress later on. I am aiming to get everything done by 6PM at the most so I’d better get cracking with it.

I want to live more richly. Spend more time with my friends and family. Try more new things. Experience hearty laughter more often. Be more honest with myself. Enjoy my work. Be more creative. Compliment more often. Have more confidence in every aspect of my life. Look good on paper, as well as in person. Leave this world with no regrets.
