AwakenMe love, wisdom, creativity
and so far I have three bags of papers from the past few years and I have barely put a dent into my stuff. Still have to go through clothes, old movies etc. But I will be glad to finally get rid of the things I haven’t even looked at in over a year. Except my books. Lol, I can’t do that. I tried did give three to a used bookstore to try it out and for 75 dollar of books in prefect condition I got 6 bucks. My friends thought I got jipped after, but at the time told me I am not going to look at them so to let go. I could have gave them to my sister or friend and felt better of letting go, so may try that or charity for the ones I know I will never pick up again. But I will admit most I love to dearly.
bumblebee7070 is still procrastinating!
You know you’ve got a problem when you can’t even find your toothbrush… and it takes you three hours to clean your room… and you’re throwing half of that stuff away.
Eeek!
Ibrahim Hamdi Being rich is not about how much you posses but how little you do
I am not dis-organised, but sometimes I have so much stuff everywhere that it feels like a mess.
I also find it hard to get rid of things, as if I am clinging to memories.

and then some more. i dont know why i had all these boxes in my closet but they are gone now. i also took a box of random stuff to the youth ranch yesterday . and since im broke even if i found somthin in there i liked i cant bring it home to reclutter what i just uncluttered. its amazing though, i still have more clothes to get rid of , i cant belive it. no wonder the laundry was overwhelming.
I swear, I didn’t think it would work, but I followed FlyLady’s Day 1 instruction to shine my kitchen sink before going to bed, and 3 days later, my sink is still sparkling clean and clear at night before I go to bed. I’ve even been doing it with (gasp) pleasure, if you can believe it, because I know that when I wake up and stagger into the kitchen in the morning, I won’t have to face a sink- and counter-full of dirty dishes, cups, cutlery, pans, food wrappers, crumbs, spills, etc. And when I get home after work, I ditto. It has made me feel better than I’ve felt in months!
So, then, I did the same with my bathroom sink, though that wasn’t next on the task list. It’s just that those two sinks were so disgusting, they made me feel dirty just to look at them. Now, no more used washcloths, hairy hairbrush, blow dryer, used Q-tips, almost empty bottles of lotion and hair product, scummy soap dish, water marks, etc. to have to see when I get ready for work in the morning.
Even though the rest of the house is still cluttered and messy and, yes, filthy, with my two sinks (and, by extension, entire rooms, because I couldn’t seem to leave it at shining the sinks but had to shine up the rest of the kitchen and bathroom), I feel so clean and, well, happy.
Who knew such small changes would make such a big difference
