How to try modeling
How I did it: So, modeling is something I've wanted to try for a few years. I never got around to it because I always had a reason to wait. "My hair is too damaged, my face is too acne-prone, my hips are too fat right now, I don't have the wardrobe/props I'd like," and so and so forth. I finally said 'enough is enough!' and took the plunge earlier this year. I responded to an add on craigslist looking for models to do bodyscapes. I did it and was pleasantly pleased with the results.
I later did a couple classic pin up shoots, some surreal/creative concept shoots, and many artistic nude shoots. After trying all these different types of modeling, I have decided that I prefer being on the other side of the camera. The reason being that, I like to be in complete control which can be difficult for a model as a model is more like an actress and a photographer like a director. I'd much rather play director.
I don't think I will be modeling anymore, unless its to take pictures of new clothes I've made or new outfits I've added to my vintage collection.
I'm glad I finally tried it!

everybody keeps telling me I should be a model. I didnt used to beileive it but now I do cause everyone says it. I’m not sure Id like to do somthing so girly but I do want to give it a shot, and if I end up liking it I will take it further. If my mum agrees i think i will…
some people have told me that i should try modeling, and i think that it’d be a fun thing just to try for a little extra money sometime. not the runway kind, i’m too short, and nothing nasty or anything—just modeling for advertisments.
