I used to lift ALL the time and went from something pathetic like 135 max to 270 in a fairly short amount of time and then just plateud. It sucked. I got up to 285 once and then stopped working out cause of other life stuff… I will get back there and beyond it though! Gonna join the gym or buy a bench this fall.

I benched 180 for 12 reps, 270 for 10, and 300 for 5 rep’s. This transvestite is 300 pounds, just for your reference. I feel like I did enough, under control to mark this off as completed. It was on the incline bench this afternoon, so I still will try it on the other bench as well.
I’m happy to have done this. Do I dare try 350??? I guess I need to get to the point where I can do 3 sets, 8-12 reps each of 300 before I go further.
I lifted a lot yesterday. I started feeling a pain in my forearm though, like the muscle was tearing… so i stopped and lowered the weight. i don’t want to agrivate the injuries that I have, I was hoping that they were all healed. I was doing a 45 pound plate and 2 35’s on each side… so I guess that’s about 230 plus the weight of the maching (not on a bar, it was on a machine where you place the plates on the sides).. so that’s not too bad. I’m getting there.
OK, so my left arm has been toast ever since december 20th or so. Yesterday I got to the gym again and did 4 45 plates plus the machines weight. . . so I’m getting there. I did 3 sets, and didn’t have too much trouble. Hopefully in the next 4 weeks I get to the point where I can do 3-5 reps of 300 lbs. without killing myself.
Maybe it’s time to get a weight belt before I rupture something!
I injured my arm during Christmas (dumb ass me) and it’s finally starting to feel better. I went to the gym this week for the first time since about the 15th of December. I went this morning and pressed 200 lbs for 9 sets on three different presses.
So next week, if my arm is ok, I'll go up to 250 and see how that works.I did press 300 1.5 times a few weeks ago, but on vacation in Disneyland, I arm wrestled a guy (and beat him 3 straight times with both arms) and since then my left arm has been killing me when I over use it for anything. I think I tore a bicep muscle. So I’m taking it easy for a couple more weeks and then I’ll push this one again.

I know I can do it though, I'd just rather be able to do it 3After 5 years of weight training a lots of determination I finally joined the 300lbs club in 2003. I had tinkered with 6 reps of 270lbs for several weeks before attempting the 300lbs 1 rep lift.
But not clean enough to count. I did 10 reps (1 set) at 250… then treid 300, but could only do 1 rep cleanly, then struggled. So this is now my new target!
Bring it on Daddy! Toss on another quarter and lets “PumP You Up!”
On to bigger and better! I did 205 today. So now I gotta stetch for 300. That’s a huge leap. I’ll shoot for 250 first, but I think I could likely do one rep at 300, but that’s about it right now.
