How I did it: This was actually pretty simple for me, as I sport a single length, centered-parted, long and straight hairstyle. Just washed it, combed it down in front of my shoulders, and trimmed the ends evenly. Yes, this makes the back slightly longer than the front, but I don't think I've had anyone notice. It's less hassle and expense than going to get it cut and I'm more likely to trim my hair on a reasonable time frame. Read how I did it… 9 months ago
and they look not so bad. made me feel brave. i ‘m looking at adding some color or layers next. really love the red she used in this video too.

This is what I do to cut my hair, it comes out perfect http://howtohacklife101.blogspot.com/2012/02/how-to-cut-your-own-hair.html 15 months ago
It all started when I cut my own bangs for a costume. They turned out alright, so I decided to take the next step. My aunt used to cut my hair, so I just kind of copied what I remembered her doing. All I need is a pair of scissors, and preferably two mirrors. I keep my hair really short, and only once did I cut it oddly. My motto is “it’ll grow back”, which, I think is a necessary mindset to have when cutting your own hair. Now that I’ve gotten the hang of it, I have actually played around with different styles. I actually really enjoy the whole process, and I super enjoy not spending the money. 17 months ago
Easier than I thought it would be. Now my hair always looks neat instead of unshapely and in need of a trim. I learned by checking out Youtube videos, specifically “layer cutting your own hair using the ponytail method.” 18 months ago
I’ve cut my hair before and totally not worth it. Looked totally bad. Just leaving it to the professionals or just letting it grow out. Pulling hair back and up is not a bad thing. 18 months ago
How I did it: First I was looking through some YouTube videos on how to cut your own hair, layers and such (I was rather fed up with one layer hair). And then I came across this little gadget called the creaclip, looks very much like a clip you put on food in bags to stop the food going soft/bad with a comb inside and a spirit level. You can see more info about them here
Anyway, that's how I did it, and it's a tool I can use again and again to trim my hair and/or change it up a bit more :) Read how I did it… 20 months ago
Prices to get just simple cuts over here are staggering. Erik has cut my hair a few times (just a few inches at a time, nothing drastic) to get rid of split ends, but I’d like to do it myself and on a permanent basis. I’ve been watching lots of tutorials on how to do it, and I will cut my hair very soon :) 20 months ago
