I havent exactly planned what i am going to cut it like but i know im gonna do it very short with a fringe of some sort.
virtualsprite is taking a break.
How I did it: I had my hair cut short less than month ago. It grows really fast and I needed a trim already, but I didn't feel like dropping another $20 at the salon. So I took the clippers I use on my husband's hair to trim up the back and used a scissors on the front. It turned out so cool! And I finally got it short enough to suit me. Using clippers on myself was a little unnerving, but it worked out fine. Read how I did it…

the one decision i am proud of – is when i decided to cut my hair myself. it was weird at first, as i thought it was all going to go really wrong. i started chopping away at my hair lol considering its quite short and thin to start with i thought i was making a huge mistake. seeing my hair on the floor didnt help. but then it kindda took shape and stuff. now its short and chppy but not to choppy if that makes sense. i think its cool so im happy. i would deffinetly reccomend doing your own hair – dont go to the hairdressers. (: bye bye xx

I thought I’d be retarded when it comes to snipping off the back of my hair and whatnot..
but it’s actually not that bad…
one day I was irritated how one side was a little thicker than the other (I have short hair) so I decided to grab a pair of skissorz and just… did it.
Just a couple days ago I decided that I was bored with my hair, so I began cutting away again, to get a different style.
Really… fun and saves alotta money.
yeah i just felt sick of getting up and doing it….so i just cut it off.
it was only up to my shoulders before …..
but i was sick of it!
so i got the fabric scissors and went over to my friend house and did my hair.
i hate it.
its worse then a boys. its gross
I cut my own hair today. It was easier than I thought and it turned out pretty SHWHEET in the end. All I used were a pair of old scissors and a shaving razor.
[fs] will never look at ice cubes in the same way again
but i think iv really damaged my hair. it looks awful!
Once you’ve shaved it, the cutting is easy if you’re happy just to use the #6 on the electric clippers.
I just cut my hair this evening, for the first time. It worked out pretty well, I must say, but I’m not too picky about my hair anyway. Only downside: it is too fun! After a while it’s hard to stop snip-snip-snipping…
After chatting with Ann Daniels I was convinced to try and cut my hair again. I posted my first attempt last year and thought I would do it again. As you can see I didn’t cut it much since my first try….it is long, damaged and dried out. I really liked cutting it the last time. Ann and youtube were great helpers with helping my do this cut. Results are inside.

bshap asks,
“Has anyone tried using a clipper with a long attachment. I don't really want it to look like a buzz cut and want a backup plan if I mess up. I could go to the hairstylist but I don't have time.”
