i amvery amateur, but the time has come…

Is still uncertain. I havent started in ernest yet but seeing how the last one was recorded with audacity and this one is going to be on pro-tools makes me want to write songs faster so I can get it recorded.

Doing final mixes, then off to mastering, replicating, etc. Feels good to finally have it done right!

Its been a long process, but things are starting to gel. Just aquired an excellent drummer, and he’s picking up everything pretty smoothly. This had been quite a daunting project at first, because I have over 12 years worth of material to pick and choose from. Almost have it narrowed down to about 10 to 12 songs, and studio tracking should start within the next 3 months.

ok so a couple nights a ago i went ahead and recorded this thing on the 4track, and i like it, its kinda…i dunno, i played electric, which ive been trying to do more of lately. my friend had an idea to try and seperate some of the giant torrent of songs ive been stockpiling, but actually making three bands and releasing three albums. one: acoustic/country thing. two: straight foward rock stuff (with mega harmonies). three: electonic/hiphop ish stuff. i dunno though…its rather ambitious, especially since i dont seem to have time to really get done with one album. or have one band. hmph.

hopefully by the end of this year ill have my lovely computer and this goal will be much more easily attained. im just not that motivated to record on the 4track anymore, especially since a couple of the tracks are shaky now. but i have plenty of material. that is fo sho.

kind of pathetic not releasing ANYTHING for a few years. or maybe this was a good thing.

we intend on changing our sound. good bye punk rock. we still love you but we graduated from punk rock high.

considering adding keyboards since both kim and i can play. more harmonies the better.

For the last two weeks, I was cooped up in the studio getting the last takes for The Commission’s first CD single off their upcoming album. Despite some stumbling along the way for the other A-side, “Scanlines”, I squeezed out some great performances from everyone in the band. Though I am amazed I got through this last week without bitch-slapping one of them.

“I love it. Now make me hate it.”

My producers wife fell in love with my best friend.So my producer has fallen out of love with my music.I’m out of money . I’m screwed.
