I took an indoor gym climbing class last Sunday. Learned basic commands, belaying, and knots. Need to find a way to work climbing shoes, rope and a harness into my budget.
For now anyway, it’s winter, I’m busy. Wouldn’t it be great if there was an option in 43 to put some goals on hold as opposed to ‘give them up’?

I found a ony day beginers training class for $150 in La! I am hoping my dad will take it with me. This is next on the financial allotment after poledancing classes!
I had my first class yesterday and my upper body is aching and my nails are hashed. I guess I just need to keep at it.
I want to practice some different sport, learn how to focus and make a real effort, and also to work with people and have fun
Rock climbing is a great sport, because it’s so much more than just exercise. It’s mentally challenging as well as a great stress reliever (better than running I think). When you’re on the rock, that’s all you’re focused on nothing else matters and the triumph of conquering a route that you’ve failed at before is exhilarating

I got a packet of information from Alpine Ascents today. Time to pick a class.

I’ve done indoor climbing once before. I want to go to a 5-day rock climbing class in Washington in August. Before that, I think I should start indoor climbing. There is a climbing wall about 30 miles away, so I might start going there soon.
This sounds like just too much fun to pass up. I have to get back into shape before I can start, but I am SO ready to getting climbing.
