I play soccer(football) and am in pretty good shape I think, you can see abs and such, but I just get pretty tired after only around a mile or less, but that’s running at a decent pace.. Will this become easier if I run more often?

I used to run about 3 miles a day until I moved and then I got like real lazy and didn’t exercise at all because when I moved i left a lot of my friends behind and I guess I didn’t feel like it was worth it anymore. Basically, my legs were very muscular but now they’re not as toned anymore and when I tried to run before I just wasn’t that into it. But now I REALLY want to do it but this time run 5 miles a day.I’m thinking ill run like 3 miles in the morning and 2 in the evening. Hopefully I’ll do it and feel good!
I run 5 miles a day, and it is a terrific way to stay fit, strong, alert, focused, ‘regular’ and in overall excellent health. Remember to replenish the water you’ve sweated out, and beyond that to be sure your very well hydrated!
Remember the golden rule when you’re sick or not feeling well—Always take it easy if your sick with a cold regardless, but don’t do it at all if the cold exists in your chest, and never workout if you have a fever….
i used to run alot when i was in high school (cross cuntry) but, lately i went for a run and could barely last for 3 miles. Pisses me off knowing that i ran ton and now its as if it menat nothing to my body since being in college for some time! Looking for a running buddy… then i’ll go out for 5 a day lol!!
I’ve been in the army for 4 years and i try to stay as fit as possible, i run 5 – 6 miles a day and rest on sundays and i can tell you that it is very healthy and very rewarding.
I had a personal trainer for awhile and there wasn’t really a goal I was working towards other than to just be healthier and turn some fat into muscle. Anyway, I’m not training with him anymore, but he’s worked me up to the point where I can run 5 miles a day without stopping and it’s got to be one of the best feelings in the world. The first time I set to do it, I was just like “okay, 2 or 3 miles will be good” but I ended up going all the way and afterwards was so proud. Now I’m doing it regularly. I try to run 5 miles every day. I feel my body changing, everything is tightening up. I also feel so much happier throughout the day. This is one of the goals I’m most excited about accomplishing. I started off not even thinking about running marathons, but I’m reconsidering now that I know I can actually do it.
Today I jogged for 2 miles, it even felt easy. I think most of the time I am just plain lazy, and not unfit like I keep telling myself.
I am not running 5 miles yet but I have managed to start doing spurts of sprinting with my dog. I also incorporate alot of jogging while we are out for our hour long walk. We are both getting fitter. I do find it easier on a treadmill as I can see exactly what I am doing.
At one point in my life I was running about 8 miles a day, I felt and looked fantastic! Now I probably walk about 2-3 miles a day but that that isn’t enough to make an impact on my weightloss goals. I will run again…
