Have you ever noticed how coffee only tastes good if it is hot or iced?
Let your hot coffee get cold and it’s nasty…let your iced coffee get warm and it’s nasty, too.
Tea on the other hand always tastes good…hot, warm, cold…with or without milk.
That was what made me switch…I got tired of reheating my cold coffee to keep it from tasting nasty.
And you know what tastes better than hot coffee? Hot apple cinnamon black tea that doesn’t contain any type of citrus stuff to make milk curdle. It tastes like a cup of apple pie a la mode…lol.
Tooldiva is right on.
I never developed a taste for coffee because, as I used to say when I was 9, tasting someone’s coffee and making a face, “why should I try to like something that isn’t good for me? That doesn’t make sense!”
But. I have more energy than most people I know, and I wake up at 7am without an alarm clock every day (well, I’m talking about before I had Munchkin, of course.) If I consistently go to bed at 10pm, I wake at 5:30am w/o alarm.
There’s something to this not-being-addicted idea… ;-P
I can’t stop drinking coffee although I love tea too. I have spiced up my tea rack making it more loevly to my eyes and I’ve gotten a tea kettel to make me want to make more tea. but somehow I just don’t….I think about it every morning over the coffee. I don’t even drink it because of caffine, I don’t know why I drink it, truthfully.

Most people think that drinking more caffeine makes you more awake. Well, that’s not my experience or observation. I find that caffeine is most effective when used wisely – so moderating on a daily basis with green and black teas makes me feel more awake (not to mention a little exercise) and then when I REALLY need it, I’ll have a little cup of coffee. (Like a handful of times every month.) It becomes a treat that way. And I have the benefit of not feeling tired in the middle of the day, like I used to feel from my daily coffee drinking days. You may be reading this in disbelief, but I dare you to try it. It really works. I am actually more awake having LESS caffeine in my life. Still doubt me? Wussy! Come on, I double dog dare you to just try it for a few weeks.
