aznarob is enjoying life
I know that with the acquiring of more money, a benefit is more freedom. Benefits like freedom to travel, to buy whatever, to work or not work. Those things are so appealing to me. I wish that freedom for all of you too.
I signed-up here at 43things.com without understanding what the heck am I gonna do here, and after my registration, Oh!, it is a blog… what the heck, I will write something; i got nothin’ to loose.

After discussing this subject with my father, I finally did it: I applied for a student loan. That is the only way for me to make enough money so that I won’t need to worry about it at this point of my life. I know it’s only a temporary solution but I’m sure it was the right choice and I feel very relieved now. :-)
I think we’re going a different route. Instead of making more money, we’re downsizing. So that our money will be enough until we can make more. We’re selling our house for a slightly smaller, less expensive home. That’s going to make so much of a difference. Once we are there we will build ourselves back up and see where we can go from there. My husband and I were tired of trying to wade, we were constantly threatened with drowning. Now we will float along. Less storage, yes. But more in so many more imporant areas.
I don’t believe there is a quick and easy scheme that you can find on a website (such as the ones not-so-subtley spamming this thread—just ignore those, people!) or at a toll-free number or for a small investment of only so-and-so dollars. I have always had enough money for the little daily things and I do that by keeping track of all my purchases, in both a budget and also seeing whether I really needed them. I buy things on sale, off brand, when that’s more logical (which is usually) and I avoid buying things that are impulse-buys, and if I can wait and think longer about a purchase, I will. I shop at thrift stores. I sell things I don’t need on eBay. Overall, this means I can live comfortably with everything I need and most of the things I like (even travel), and no anxiety about empty bank accounts.
My problem is that I don’t enjoy being an employee. I need to start my own business or become a skillful (stock or real estate) investor (those are all VERY hard to do WELL, and there are lots of scammers out there to help you fail, and I’m not willing to lose money by doing it poorly or sloppily the way the MAJORITY of business starters and investors do…) But to do this I need to invest time (not money, don’t invest any money until you’ve invested enough time to KNOW you’re not throwing it down a drain) to learn about how I can best make my own money so that I don’t need to be employed.
So, this is something I must take a little time each week to put towards: Learning how to realistically make income outside of the employee context, so I can one day (soon, hopefully) hang up my resume for good. Meanwhile, I still have to be a great employee that employers desire, because I’m not silly enough to put all my eggs in one basket.

I’m so sick and tired of not being able to do things because I don’t have enough money. I think I’m going to take a study loan. I’ve been thinking about this a lot and I’ve had a couple of conversations, which have made me realize that taking a loan is not such a bad thing after all.
The two basic restrictions for doing things are time and money. Now I’m a young student with lots of time on my hands, but I’m short on money. Later on, when I graduate and (hopefully) get a job, money shouldn’t be a problem anymore, but I won’t have as much free time as I now have.
So if I am going to live my life to the max, I have to start living it now and lack of money shouldn’t hold me back. There will be enough time to worry about the payback later.
I know this is idealistic. But I think it is at least partially possible. Other people dream of striking rich, I dream of being able to do/buy regular things without constantly counting the costs.

“LOL seems impossible because money needs to always come, if I was a celebrity or famous or a billionaire or married was with one this wouldn't be a problem. The problem is getting there. I don't even have a real job now... wow it seems so far away”
