downsize on coffee, cigarettes, and fast food.
How I did it: it happened when my husband lost his job. i realized very quickly that i spent an exorbitant amount of money on nothing. things that weren't important at all. it's amazing that even on one salary, things haven't really changed at all.

kmslat is always striving to be better...
For the most obvious reasons…but in addition to the cost of gas, food, my painful misfortune of being commission based, add to it the fact that we want to move. talk about being forced to save money….

so i’m now obsessed with my backyard/garden. i know i shouldn’t spend the money on flowers and planters, but i love it and the beauty of it all makes me really quite happy. so although i’ve put the flower purchases on hold for a while, i can’t say that i’ll stop completely.

okay, so i didn’t need the 7 jeans i bought, but you know what? i wanted them. i had wanted them for a while and well, i will wear them for the next 5 years. so the cost per day is ridiculously low!

does my new shiny black video ipod count as frivolous spending?
actually, i have been better. sometimes i think i’ve got good karma (i said sometimes) because i found out that i never received a paycheck from my job (2 jobs ago) that I never knew about! They sent it to me right before Christmas! So the Ipod was not a painful spend. Also I do get my incentive check next week. Of course, I’m putting that towards my wedding! Yeah!
