How to play baseball
How I did it: We got a team together last year. It wan't pretty, but after a season of not playing baseball it was better than nothing! We went 5 and 11 for the season. So, it was pretty ugly. We had some staff and player changes. Also, we had some issues with the officials that were pretty funny and horrible at the same time. But, all and all, we played ball. And, that's what counts.

I used to play softball. I come from a baseball family, every played/plays baseball or softball, so we always considered each of us as having “natural talent”. I love being on a team, having something to do Saturday mornings, and the right to say that my team(s) was/were league champions!
During winterball, I slid into second base and broke my ankle. A coach had moved the base and forgot to fill the old hole that the base was secured into. Yeah-my foot got stuck in that hole and got messed up when I tried to slide. I was traumatized and attempted to play another 2 seasons, one of them with a little league pony team with the boys, but it just didn’t work out.
My baby sis plays travel softball-I love watching her games, but I miss going out there and trying to make the best plays, and hitting. I miss the challenge, the cheering, the camaraderie, sunflower seeds and gatorade! And I resent the coaches from my day, they never worked as hard as my sister’s coaches to help us girls play better.
I found a female 18+ baseball league and they’ve invited me to come out for practice. I am sooo stoked! But I keep doubting myself. I just want to play with a clear conscience!
I’ve played for a couple years and it is amazing. I loved it. Definately something worth trying and LOVING!

I want to play baseball unfortunatly I have not found a amature league in my state that is either co-ed or just for women. Yes I could play softball but thats not the same. I want to take a bat and smack a small round object with it and let it sail. I don’t want to smack a ball the size of a grapefruit no real challenge in that. I want to get a homerun, Spit sunflower seeds, curse like a sailor at the umpire. Now thats Baseball!!
I’ve never played baseball before. It’s what I want to do when I get to America again next year. This time I’m going for a social trip. Not a tourist type.
