as a first step, i plaster my domicile with all my photos, my home office walls are covered in photos, soon i want to make a hard cover book that is my portfolio, and show that around with cards. :)

Anyone know of restaurants and small galleries that are looking for artists???
my art is myself, and I want to share it for others and primarily for me ~ a stance for who I am.
i’m going to buy a bunch of frames from the dollar store and print photographs. then i’ll put the framed photos up around my house and in my room. it’ll be nice to look at them being displayed in real life rather than just on flickr.
i told dan and laura about this. they are excited. they are going to help me with some photoshoots. jay is going to type the lyrics of his thirteen songs on the weekend so we can get inspired. this is neat.
someone on 43things suggested that i should exhibit my photography. i’ve thought about this in the past, but it didn’t seem very realistic. the only gallery i knew of, until ten minutes ago, was the art gallery for real life artists. professionals. you know. so i never gave it much thought.
my friend makes music and is always trying to get shows. i just read his post on lj about an upcoming show at the Art Speak Gallery in Walkerville. i’ve never really heard of this gallery, so i googled it. it’s an affordable rental space for artists and musicians. it seems neat. i’m going to try to go to his show and see what it is like.
i need a job…
Shouldn’t one be able to send the fruits of her labor into the world without spelling out what existential implications said labor should convey? What’s with the artist’s statement? If people can’t draw their own conclusions then what’s the point? Perhaps I’m being too naive in taking a position that observers reactions and dialogue should take precedence over what motivated the work to begin with.
