Worth doing!

Boy was I glad I finally stopped driving by the sign and finally called! I did not want to pay a personal trainer, it seemed so expensive, but I now tell others how they are worth it and encourage them to try it. I did a mat class but once you try the equiptment you are hooked. This is not a weight loss technique but it will improve your core stregnth and flexibility and impress you with how difficult these graceful and easy looking exercises are. My trainer is moving to Manhattan, after 8 years of training I am going to switch to Yoga class.

So today is day one. I am going to do this every day that I am home (not traveling) until the end of the year. (Don’t you hate the goals you can never check off!) I can’t find the 50 minute dvd I really love so I did 20 which seemed OK since I’m fairly out of shape at the moment. This is the first time I’ve done this since before my daughter was born and she’s two! I must find my favorite dvd. I also looked up new Winsor dvds but hate to spend the money. :(

I was so tired last night, that when I went to bed , so sore… that I thought , “hey why not do some pilates in bed?” so I did for as long as I could while listening to the radio.
mainly leg and arm moves… kinda hard to do the stomach, but I still tried.

i had my first pilates session today and it was so much more rewarding than i imagined it would be. i had a 1:1 with a great trainer which then led me to sign up for 5 more.

I started taking Pilates classes recently and I can really feel the effects it is having on my body, subtle though they may be at the moment. It is definitely something that I shall keep up.

I did pilates for the first time a while ago at college. The PE teacher was trying to get people to do it and I really didn’t want to but couldn’t really say no. But it was actually pretty cool. You can feel that your body is having a workout but you don’t feel like you’re about to die. I might do it again sometime.
