rescue more dogs

Yeah! We got another dog. Her name is Jasmine and she came to us after a year at the Humane Society. She’s a little crazy in the head (bit me three times already) but we’re improving. She and Jake get along mildly well – could be better.

We’ve caught our limit for now. Two cats and two dogs. I want to live in the country where I can have as many dogs as I can feed.

I recently acquired my first dog. His name is Jake and he was rescued by a friend who could not keep him. She found him chained to a street sign and in decreasing health. Several bags of dog food and a lot of love later and he’s a hyperactive mutt with a serious case of ADD. He brings much joy to my life (even when I’m furious with whatever he’s done wrong most recently) and I want more dogs both for him to play with and for me to love on. I’ve been to the pound previously and it’s really painful to see all those wonderful dogs without homes.
