How to re-write my resume
How I did it: I found out about a job the day before it closed. I just had to sit down and do it. Easy, Peasy. I had to re-do my letterhead and the margins were giving me hell. Other than that no prob.

Had another review with the career counselor the other day—this time she nitpicked about punctuation, so that must mean that it’s otherwise pretty solid. I made some corrections and put it aside for a rest, and I think I’ll take one more good pass at it and it should be in good shape.
It’s looking much better, but I want to have a career counselor look at it a couple more times before I am completely happy with it.
In order to recruit at school this fall, the resume needs to be in tip-top shape by next week! I’ve met with career development a couple of times to go over what changes I should think about. Now I just need to get the creative juices flowing and get ‘er done!
It’s tough work, too—I’m definitely having to re-learn how to do the whole thing. It’ll be an accomplishment to have it done.
so i freaked – there are only 2 years of recent experience written about and my other 7 years listed by date, with just the company name & my role title… regardless, it’s DONE!
I’ve sent it out already and gotten a call back :)

it seems my hubby took my procrastination as long as he could, and sent off my cv to a resume re-write service. GR-eat… um, people pay ME to do that for THEM, not the other way around. It’s senseless, but I have to admit that I’m glad I don’t have to do it myself.

I’d rather poke my eye out with a stick right now that tackle my resume. the irony of it all? i do this for everyone i know, but HATE doing my own. I have an updated version, but it needs some serious rewriting though, considering i’m attempting to jump industries.
Ugh. Maybe later. I’m going to enjoy my day.

Done. I have been procrastinating on this for too long. Now, it looks so good, I almost believe I’m employable.
