Just drive...

I just wont to jump on a Harley and ride, dont care where i go and where i end up. I would really like to go head out west some where with my Harley and just live out on my own. It seems now the only thing that calms me down is driving and the sound of a motor. This might take a while for me to get, but i know when i do i will be truly free.

Always wanted one, never thought I would get one. This past summer things just fell into place and I was at the right place at the right time. I bought a “used” 2007 Harley Sportster Low for about $3500 less than new.
A guy bought it, had it delivered to his house, rode 1 mile up and down the street he lived on, and parked it in his driveway. The wife came home and when she saw it kicked it over and told him to take it back. It had 1 mile on it, a very small scratch on the front fender, and some light scuffs on the bottom side of the mufflers. The dealership sold it as used and I got a great deal!

It has taken years for me to actually put the time in and do it but when it finally happened, it happened fast.
Two weeks from passing my big bike test I have my own Sportster. Now that is a jump in power from my 125 learner. I am taking my time getting used to it and trying not to rush but I am loving every second of the learning curve.

I finally own a Harley. A great friend of mine (he was practically my DAD) died in July ‘05 and his son (also one of my best and closest friends) had his 1997 XLH1200 Sportster ever since just sitting in his shed. I never knew it was still around. He found out I was looking for a Harley and wondered if I wanted it. So I bought it from him at a bargain price a few months ago, and come spring I’ll be riding it every day possible. Plus I think riding it is a great way to honor my dead friend!

Bought a ‘97 Fatboy and fullfilled that childhood dream. OK so I still have 4 Triumph 650 Bonnevilles but the Harley is the way to ride in STYLE.

I never though I would even want to get a Harley. Last Year I bought a 1990 FXR. Now that I have one I can’t ever imagine not owning one. I love my scoot. I love the sound, I love the way it shakes like a paint mixer, I love the way it looks. I even like polishing the chrome.

I asked a friend of mine to check up on the prices at a bike show in NYC and here is what he came up with for price of the model I have chosen … 15,495 US Dollars = 6,84,647 Indian Rupees … thats about the price of a good car here … I’m sure I could get this on installments :) I’d rather ride a Harley than drive a car … wish me luck mates!
I have never seen a Harley in real life and i have never owned a bike in my life … so growing up with that spirit like some of the memebrs here is out of the question … but its a matter of spirit of freedom and passion and making a point to those around me … if i want it bad … i shall have it
Oh and might I add … I have decided not to own any motor vehicle until I get a harley registered to my name … Hooyah!
