learn cabinet-making

Well, I don’t think I’ve learnt everything, but I have finished my course. I didn’t finish my project, but it’s at a stage where I can finish it off in my dad’s workshop. It was fun. And it smells good – wood and glue and sawdust

I’m making a set of shelves, which will go in the kitchen to hold the stereo and assorted liquor bottles. They are queensland maple with dovetail joins

I just signed up for 8 lessons, starting tuesday. By the end I should have made a simple wooden object; and not cut off any fingers/limbs etc
