Get accepted into an exhibition for this Summer

Not quite in the summer, but darn close indeed so I’ll count it. I have three pieces that will be featured in the upcoming “Pretty Girls and Robots” exhibition at the UAG in Albany.

Anyone out there from Albany?

Perhaps this year I can pull off the goal once more. I’ve been accepted into a gallery in Swansboro, NC. The Gallery owner will be driving down this way on his vacation on Tuesday and plans to pick up six of my butterfly series paintings for exhibition and consignment. If I can find homes for those pieces I would be especially happy. :)

I suppose I should perhaps change this goal since it didn’t really happen. I did have a show in fall, but it was one I had planned for for quite a long time. Shall I move this to spring? Summer? Hmmm…

...to find a show for this fall. Somewhere where I can send most of my work for exhibition so it’ll be out of my house and hanging on someone else’s walls (out of sight out of mind), but also it would be great to get some new exposure beyond the internet. The last show was great, the opening was busy, busy, and I got a few new people interested in my work.

Since I’ll be moving to a new town, in a new state, I pretty much have to start all over again trying to build up a local following. This is going to be a challenge, but I hope I’m up for the task. Ideally I’d like a local show and something national in another state… not sure if I can swing that (I haven’t seen anything lately that looks like it’ll fit my work), but I’m going to keep trying.

I’ll keep my toes crossed, my eyes peeled, and my mailers going out. Something will have to shake loose.
