Celebrate Thanksgiving with my 43T friends by listing 43 things I'm thankful for.

1. God, His forgiveness and faithfulness!
2. Jesus sacrifice to save us all each and everyONE. He could have stopped it at any time! He would still have done it if ONLY ONE were saved! He did it JUST for YOU! He did it JUST for ME!
3. My wonderful husband who is so good to me and the kids.
4. My 3 beautiful, smart, wonderful daughters.
5. Grandchildren.
6. All of the people in my life, may they all prosper.
7. Freedom of religion.
8. All of my brothers and sisters in Christ regardless what church they attend (or “religion” they profess)

9. Our leader George Bush, he is a good man and he is doing what he feels is the right thing to do even if we don’t always agree.

10. All the creatures of the air, land and sea. They keep us fed AND entertained!

11. Pets, without them life would be most dull indeed!

12. Children, without them life would be dull indeed, AND we would have no future!

13. All things beautiful!

14. The fact that beauty is in the eye of the beholder!

15. The struggles and trials we must each face in this life, without them, we could never reach our true potential, or become whom we ultimately will be!

16. I am thankful for God’s word the bible. It is truly our owner’s manual for life, ourselves and each other!

18. The United States! We’re not perfect, but I’m glad I’m here!

19. 43 things! This is a great way to share and help each other!

20. The age I live in, there could be no more exciting time to be alive!

21. The passion within me.. I know I was meant to accomplish great things!

5. Having the qwherewithall to celebrate thanksgiving with a feast.

6. The books that have given succor, and opened my world, time and time again.

7. My kids’ teachers, who provide them with a safe and nurturing environment.

8. The internet, which allows someone with a telephone-phobia, like me, to stay in touch with friends and family.

9. The lovely people I’ve met a 43things, who, not knowing, have helped me pull through a difficult time.

10. Having a backyard, that is a happy place for my kids and the kids in the neighborhood.

11. That an new yorker like me can grow up to have a green thumb and be a gardener.

12. That a ghetto child like me can grow up to study taoism and qi gong with a real taoist master.

13. That an abused and frightened child, could struggle and learn to express her nascent atrtistic tendencies.

14. That I have an incredibly kind, smart, and sexy husband.

15. That I have 2 happy, sparkling, magical children.

16. For dark chocolate.

17. Organic fruit and vegetabless, and the farmers who grow them.

18. That I finally learned how to drive (at the age of 30, i grew up in nyc).

19. Good wine, and that i’ve had the opportunity to learn about good wine.

22. cuban coffee. (cafe con leche)

23. all other coffee: turkish, vietnamese french drip, home roasted

24. Teaching myself how to cook, and to be an adventurous cook and gourmand.

25. Stephen Chow, I have just fallen in love with his movies, his art, his hillarity. (and I’ve never been into martial arts films before).

26. The Cloisters museum in NYC, where i used to go when I played hookey. A beautiful tranquil place, created with the salvaged remains of european monasteries that were shipped there restored, brick-by-brick. Filled with period-authentic herbal gardens, and medieval art—so moving, the devotion and love with which it was all made palpable with every sense, maybe even extra ones.

27. The NY public library, another place I loved, to do research in, to play hookey in, to read and check out books. The fact that just anybody could check out the most obscure and ancient texts in their vaults. I loved the anticipation waiting for those archaic dumb-waiters to bring up books.

28. Transcendental meals, whether they are 6-course french or italian dinners, or amazing home-cooked meals from the old-world. Or a friend’s favorite dish.

29. Cooking with my husband.

30. Cooking with my children.

31. Seeing how my cat is changing, thriving. (she’d been neglected, underfed, and left by the previous tenants here). She’s not only heavier now, but also longer!—Even though she was already 2 years old when we got her last year. She’s more vocal, more demanding, and getting a little attitude as befits a cat.

32. Muliple, very wet, blow-your-mind, lose-your-mind orgasms.

33. That the tide seems to be changing in the media, that they are more likely to question the white house, and its policies, and report openly about flagrant mistakes.

34. Flowers.

35. My mother’s partner, who brings her happiness, and therfore makes my life easier.;-)
