organize my pictures

All vacation photos are now on the external hard disk. I will sort them by location and then upload a selected few to my online album and send an e-mail out for viewing.

If a picture is worth a thousand words, what do a thousand pictures have to say? :-)

That is how many I took on our recent vacation. Now, I have to organize them, print out the ones I want for the vacation folder and send out a few to various people. Probably won’t happen before next weekend, though.

yay ive finally finished sorting out all the images i had stored on my computer! im kinda a magpie and i just find random pics when im on the net and save them…. but they got really disorgansied and i had duplicates in all theses different folders and yeah XD im happy now lol

I may have to modify this goal to acutally fit what i am doing now. I just got a new laptop and have put all my digital photos on it, from 2001-2009. I have them organized by year, month and event. I found this thing that lets me tag them with keywords that i am really excited about. I have done 2001-2006 and 2009 so far. Only 2007-2008 left and then i think i will cross this off my list. Its over 12,000 pictures, pretty sure i dont have that many sitting in the box next to my bed :-)

I absolutly hate doing this. But I have it done. I have the folder that all pictures/videos go in. The video’s are arranged by date and pictures by what the picture is of. And then I have a folder for pictures than I have to upload to photobucket and another for the album at walgreens to get them printed out.

After I got a memory card, pictures have gotten the same name and because of that, I cant upload all of them to photobucket. So I have to sift through 5,000+ pictures/videos and rename some of them.

I organized them into the categories now to put them in order within the category.

I still need to print a lot of them off though since they were taken with my digital.

Submitted order to print pics that people have requested or sent to me via e-mails. Once I get the prints, I will mail the ones that have to be sent out and put the rest in the new albums I bought.

I still have pictures in my digital camera from Christmas of 2007. I’m always taking lots of pictures but they just stay in my camera or on my computer. My friends have asked me to send them copies of certain pictures and I always promise that I will but I never get around to it. So I am adding this goal to my list. Hopefully I will get this done.

After evaluating some of the online FREE photo album sites, I have finally decided to go with Picasa. I do like Google’s products so why not. So far, since this morning, I have created 28 albums and uploaded the pics for them. Still have tons to go but this is a good start.

I finally took out the external hard disk I had bought a few months back and now it is attached and all the albums are being backed up there.

I only hope this trend continues. Will tackle my music files after this!
