All of the tolls around where I live are totally automated. And if you don’t have the machine-y thing, you have to call up and pay later. So this will have to be shelved for a while

I have been doing this for years, and it never gets old! I figure it makes up for the last time I went over the GWB in the wrong lane and got away with not paying the $6 toll at the time!

than I anticipated. Initally I was quite nervous. But the toll lady said SURE, you can pay for the guy behind you. As I drove off, I saw her gesturing no to the man trying to pay and pointing at my car. I giggled. I hope it made the driver have a good day and perhaps renewed any faith in humanity.
In some ways it probably madem y day more than the other persons. I highly recommend it.
doing random acts of kindness like this. On the rare occasion when I plan a route that involves a toll road I like to stick in some extra coins just for this purpose. : )

It’s a lot easier to do without ez-pass. I haven’t done it since I got the darn thing. Perhaps its made me less generous.
