How I did it: As a Christmas present to myself, I went down the piercing shop with my mom. It was the most painful of my piercings so far, though only a 5.5 on a scale of 1-10. It bled and got the bump for months. It finally healed up at the 8 month mark. Read how I did it…

How I did it: I've wanted it done for a little while, after I saw it on a person on TV and I thought it was really cute. So, on my 16th birthday I went to get some piercings, I didn't get my rook, but I got my helix, thirds lobes and my belly done and 2 days after (which be today!) that I decided I wanted my rook pierced. So my friend, who wants her helix pierced tomorrow, asked if I wanted to come with her and her mum (she's too young and needs p… Read how I did it…
How I did it: like my tragus the rook was kind of a splur of the moment. Sure I researched it a bit, but I didn't wait a couple of years or anything like that, I wasn't set on getting it right away to be honest I was really scared. I had heard about all the people that said it was super painful, but I took out money for that or the anti-helix anyways. I went with my friends one of them decided to get her web pierced and I waited, then I decided to fina… Read how I did it…

I have my tragus (right ear) pierced and I am toying with the idea of another piercing because now everyone I know has a tragus piercing. I was thinking of getting my rook (left ear) pierced.
I am a bit wary of the pain though, and I can’t remember how much my tragus hurt as it was so long ago!!!
I’d initially wanted a snug piercing, but my piercer was reluctant and convinced me to get this instead. I’m so glad I did! It’s so cute. The needle did hurt, but only as much as a helix piercing and, so far, it hasn’t stung or burned afterwards like my helix piercing did.
And I slept on it no problem last night!
Awesome.
I got my rook pierced about 11 days ago. Me and my friend decided we wanted to do it, and so we asked our parents, and we did it. We got there, and I went first. The lady got everything out, while changing her gloves like 22 times.
Bottom line, the actual piercing part didn’t hurt me, but it was very annoying. It was an irritating pulling feeling.
I was a little lightheaded after, but that’s about it. Mine never really hurt, but the back of my ear was REALLY sore. Now, 11 days later, it doesn’t hurt at all, and i can move it without any pain.
I highly recommend this piercing, because not a lot of people have it done. I don’t know anyone else besides my friend who has it done. Plus, if you have the right ears, it looks really nice:]

I’ve wanted forever to have this done… it just looks so awesome and not that many people have it so its kinda unique.. I’m just scared to get it because I don’t have a high tolerance for pain and I don’t want to get it done wrong or it get infected or it hurt like SUPER BUNCHES…but that probably won’t stop me lol
I got it done june 2008 for my birthday. I love piercings i had my nose done..but i recommend this peircing and yes it hurts like hell!
Mindy is broke.
I don’t feel the need to get another piercing just yet, and my industrial isn’t even healed all the way yet even though it’s been 7 months.
I am going to do this!
I have been quite busy the last few weeks so haven’t got round to getting it.
I plan to go talk to the piercer tomorrow and get it the next day (if the place is alright)
Problem is I’m going on holiday in a month and we will be swimming, i dunno if it will be healed enough by then?
i got my lower cartilege & tragus done about a month ago, two weeks after i went and got my rook done and i absolutely love it, it didnt hurt at all & i recommend it!
