"Totally worth it and fun!"

How I did it: I just bought the skates, and my mom taught me how. I only fell once! The hardest part was learning to break. I'm still working on that. We live in a small town, so we went up to the town square and skated on the pavilion. It's almost as smooth as a roller rink.

Lessons & tips: Remember to go slow. You will fall! But you just have to get back up or you'll never improve.

    You could say it’s not difficult to fall ;-) but to fall in the right way so that you won’t get hurt: that’s what I want to learn. I used to have rollerskates when I was a kid, but that is a long time ago. I bought myself a pair of rollerskate a couple of years ago and went skating once. As long as I stay on my two feet it’s OK, but it would be good to learn how to fall!

    Ok… I told my youngest this weekend her and I can go rollerskating. Theres a church right down the block with a parking lot where I take her to ride her bike. This way if I fall down…God is by my side (:

    We no longer have a roller rink in town. It’s a very sad thing. I hate in-line skates and prefer the old school with the toe-stop thingy. I can shoot the duck like nobody’s business.
