I have fantastic grades (for now) this semester, as well as over the summer.

Unfortunately, depression is harsh and I haven’t done so hot in the past. I think I started this semester with a 2.9 or so. I can only retake one class if I want to graduate on time.

Fortunately, I still have around three years before I get a Bachelor’s degree. Fingers crossed, I guess.

I expect to graduate in 2011. I still have a ton of work ahead of me, but I’m determined to succeed.

All for that white robe 17 months ago

I cannot even describe how surprised I was to find out that I made summa cum laude. I care nothing about grades or impressing teachers, but when I found out I could make summa, I studied much harder this year to make all A’s, and right after finally accepting I’d be magna cum laude for making B’s in two classes, I was called up to a meeting at school for the summas and found out the teachers curved the grades in both of those classes, so I got all A’s!

Wearing a white robe at graduation meant a lot more to me than just the color of the robe, it meant all that studying and practice actually paid off.

Magna cum laude ain't bad either! 20 months ago

Summa, magna… I didn’t quite make it to the tippy-top, but I’m pretty darn close, and I’m proud of it!

Summa cum laude or bust 23 months ago

I am on my way to achieving this goal. I currently hold a straight 4.0, I want to do this, I HAVE to do this. No sacrifice no victory!!!!

Grades are in! I JUST MADE summa cum laude by the skin of my teeth. Where in gawds name did that awful phrase ever come from anyway? All of the hard work definitely paid off as my first, and only as it turns out, intereview was at a fortune 500 company, which I only got because of my GPA, got the job, relocated to begin work there (Pittsburgh) and am working there right now! By the way, I love it! YAY!!

Oh my gosh I got an A in statistics!
Studying actually does pay off. :p I was so sure I had a B after nearly failing one of the tests.
So first 9 weeks I have all A’s..just gotta do it again 2nd 9 weeks.

So for the next 9 weeks I’m going to be a complete nerd, and I started by using dry erase marker to write on my mirror all my physics and statistics formulas and english vocab words so that I can read over the info while I get ready every morning. Every few weeks, I’ll change up the info…it’s gonna take a lot of Windex to clean my mirror though!

A lot of work 2 years ago

I just graduated Summa Cum Laude from Cornell. It was a great personal achievement, but cost a lot in terms of a social life and a real college experience.
