man, oh man.
this is a tricky one.
i’m not that good @ running…& to be honest…i don’t really like it.
i think it is a very beneficial thing to do though.
hopefully i can learn to like it.

I saw someone pounding the pavement as I drove to work today. They looked so focused, so serene. I’m dog-sitting at the moment – I think I’ll take her out for a bushwalk tonight after work. One step at a time…
m1ssjade loving my goals
i dont think i have ever been good at running, but when i see people doing it i get so jealous cuz they look so peaceful and healthy, so i have downloaded a program called couch to 5k, on my iphone and i plan to try it out tomorrow for the first time
I am lazy. I badly need to exercise, in order to be healthy, and also in order to lose 2 stone (see separate goal!).
At the moment I don’t even walk. I used to but I haven’t for quite some time. I am going to start by walking to work (see separate goal!). Then I would like to try running because I have never done it before. It would seem the best way is to run for a few minutes, walk for a few minutes, etc.. and increase the running time as I get used to it.
I am hoping that running might eventually be something that I do to help me to unwind and clear my mind. Something to get out of the house and do on my own.
From Tuesday I am beginning my walking – at the weekend I will be at the caravan and hopefully can experiment with the running-walking thing. My biggest fear is that I will look stupid because I haven’t tried running since I was a kid – which is a long time ago!
Viva_Vintage is home.
Okay, I nearly can’t believe it, but after months (or years?) of saying: ‘Let’s go jogging’, my mom and me are actually doing it!
We live close to a lake, and it’s the perfect place for runners. I think the way ‘round the lake is +- 2 km.
We’re following a program called ‘Start to run’, and it’s very popular here in Belgium.
Right now, week 2 has started. Week 1 went well: we learned to run for 3 minutes, non-stop – no comment, we’re starting from scratch ;) At the end of the program (in 9 weeks), we should be able to run 5 km, so that’ll be 30 minutes, I guess. It would be so great to achieve that…!
We’re not giving up.
I’ve been working out in the gym trying to prepare my body for the big push. However, I did run up and down Main Street going into each bar looking for someone tonight… That took about 20 minutes. I’m pretty proud of the fact that I managed to pull that off. I know… sad
I’ve completed my first week of getting into the groove of going out and running a bit every other day. Right now, every day is not a realistic goal for me, so I’m taking my victories where I can. Right now, I’m pretty happy with what I’m doing and don’t see myself stopping soon. Yay!
soundoftrees is going to make a kubb set
Ok this month (September…so really next month) I will walk home from work three times a week. I’ve laid smackdown, it’s on!
